Creativity Chrysalis explores the liminal space between who you were and who you’re becoming. Within the sacred womb-like space of a Creativity Chrysalis, alchemy happens.

For years, I was fiercely driven and propelled forward by an illuminated vision of my dream life and career. So, when that driving force suddenly stopped, I was royally confused. I wondered if I was depressed or paralyzed by self-doubt.

But as time went on, I realized neither was true.

I was simply being called into the rhythm of change. I had entered a space where I couldn’t see who I was becoming yet, and without that clear vision, I felt lost and unmotivated. Initially, losing that forward momentum put me into a panic. Now, I recognize it for what it truly is: the call of the chrysalis.

The Creativity Chrysalis is the sacred place where we go to alchemize into our next expression.

Working with colors as layers within the transformation process, each image captures a distinct shift that occurs to alchemize into the symbolic butterfly expression.

Every piece was created with deep reverence for nature, vibrancy of color, and the magic of the creative process.

Fill yourself from within and your expression will burst forth like a natural wave or wind. If the expression isn’t come through yet, tend to the inner well. As the inner well fills, expression is inevitable.

Lavender Sky Chrysalis

Crown yourself with your own reclamation. Your soul is within you, there is nothing you need to do or prove other than be yourself. The journey of being yourself is an eternal unfolding. This knowing if your divine adornment.

About photographer Kevin Thom

Kevin Thom is an award-winning photographer. He has traveled the world exploring and photographing natural wild spaces, along with working to capture dramatic human emotions through creative commercial work.

Kevin has partnered with Laura Hollick for over two decades to bring her creative ideas to life. They have had solo exhibits at Carnegie Gallery and Musea.

Through his photography, he seeks to distill what he sees to its most essential element, whether that be its shape, texture, color, attitude, or emotion. Kevin then highlights that element using dramatic lighting, angles, perspective and composition.
